Katherine Crosby

Katie was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art and with a minor in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies she realized her passions for helping others through the combination of art and psychology. Following her passions led her to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy. While in New York, she learned and developed many art therapy skills and techniques through studying and working with a multitude of populations in many varied settings, including the Imagine Academy School for Autism. Katie has returned home to Louisiana to continue her career in art therapy. She is excited to use her skills as an art therapist to provide an environment where the children at Live Oak can use the art process to grow cognitively, emotionally, and socially.
